The Laks are an Iranian ethnic group in southwestern Iran. Laki (or Lekí) is the name of their tongue, a dialect of Kurdish. According to the Encyclopaedia of Islam the Laks are "the most southern group of Kurd tribes in Persia." The Laks are primarily concentrated in the provinces of Lorestan, Ilam and Khuzestan.
